Does electrolysis work on all skin and hair types?
Electrolysis can be applied to most facial and body parts, including: eyebrows, chin, upper & lower lip, jaw line & sides of the face, ears, breast & underarms, abdomen, bikini line, legs and back. Based on a personal and confidential consultation, we will design a treatment plan that addresses your specific permanent hair removal needs.
Is superfluous hair normal or do I have a disease?
Biologist’s tell us that hair on the human body serves as an embellishment and helps improve appearance. However, excessive hair in socially unacceptable areas can cause deeply rooted psychological distress. Hair removal offers significant cosmetic improvement and can be the key to the well-being of a person.
Hair removal can be classified into two main categories; temporary hair removal and permanent hair removal. Temporary hair removal includes
those procedures, such as tweezing, waxing, shaving and chemical depilatories. A few stray hairs extending from the eyebrows for instance are not unusual and perfectly normal. However, some women do experience hormone changes which result in excessive unwanted hair. This imbalance may be temporary such as occurs at puberty and menopause, or it may be a more serious long term problem.
What medications cause hair growth?
Many medications can cause hair growth or hair loss. Talk with your pharmacist about each medication you are on and also how your medications interact.
If you have recently noticed a major change in the amount, or the pattern of your facial hair and/or body hair, it would be wise to see your physician.
